August 11th & 12th 2017 at the Honiton Showground sees the return of Honiton’s Sausage & Cider Festival; the largest Sausage and Cider Festival in Devon, with a full line up of local artists and a few very special guests!

Festival fever is brewing already as 80’s pop sensation and internationally acclaimed artist Hazel Dean (Chart hits included the phenomenal track “Who’s leaving who?”) has agreed to come along on the Friday night and perform live to the crowds on our one off ‘Bonus Day’.

What’s a Bonus Day? Well as a special thank you to the local community of Honiton and the regular campers who visit our beautiful town, the ‘Bonus Day’ is a selected date when you buy your weekend ticket in advance, you’ll get the Friday evening entry for FREE.

We want to thank everyone who has stuck by us and supported the festival by giving you an opportunity to come along on Friday night as our guests, enjoy a full evening of Disco and live music themed ‘Before the Naughties!’

Most of our traders & entertainers will be on site and it’ll let you experience the venue before the big day on Saturday when it’s flat out from the minute the gates open to the finish. I say ‘most’ because there is some amazing stuff being kept for Saturday.

Food and drink – as in previous years we have some of the best cider producers around, caterers who provide for all tastes from all over the world, and especially for those who enjoy the Proseccos and Champagnes, a new ‘Bubbles Bar’ has been added to the list! There will also be our usual Beer Tent with all the usual beers, real ales and spirits, our guest brewery is yet to be announced and we’re really excited to be bringing new flavours to the 36m Bar Tent! Further details of our cider producers and traders will be available via the website. We operate a ‘Challenge 25’ Policy and all visitors are advised to carry approved photographic ID such as a driving licence for example.

Saturday 12th of August is bumper to bumper with entertainment and of course the exclusive Devon visit from Megastars Diversity. Ashley Banjo and the troop will performing live on stage with a massive line up including internationally acclaimed PeteBox. Pete has appeared all over the world, has over 30 Million views on YouTube and has recently performed at Glastonbury Festival. This is his first visit to Honiton and we are certain he will be a massive hit with the crowd. Also appearing is Vivid Vague, Blimey O’Riley, Phish Taco, Go 80’s Tribute band, Lydia Capon with her new band, Alice Gullick, and more to be confirmed!

Family entertainment includes favourites like the Punch and Judy Show, George Blake Magic Show, there is a fun fair, bouncy castles, Face painting, live history events including military displays, Army engagement team, Police, fire and ambulance engagement teams, dance routines from gymnastic superstars from the Honiton Gymnastics Club, the Devon Freewheelers are there with their blood bikes (our chosen charity), the Devon Air Ambulance, Aerosaurus Hot Air Balloons (subject to weather and availability) and so much more. The whole event really does have something for everyone.

Camping is also available at £20 per pitch (Max of 6 persons to a pitch, pitch sizes 3m x 3m – large tents will be charged extra if they go over the pitch sizes) for the whole weekend! Small campervans are welcome however entry is entirely at own risk. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate Caravans or large motor homes. The site is ‘rough camping’ only and facilities are limited. All campers must be off site no later than 10am on Sunday 13th August 2017, and must take all their rubbish and belongings (that includes your tent!) with you! No open fires, fireworks, balloons, noise, drugs or weapons allowed on site – please read full T’s & C’s on the website. We reserve the right to remove any visitor & their enitre party at any time and there will be no refunds. We are a family event, and we operate a zero tolerance to disruption to other visitors.

Tickets purchased in advance get the Friday evening free! Advance tickets cost £15 per Adult, 14yrs – 18yrs old (Juniors) £7.50 and Under 14’s are free. The event is a charity fundraiser for Devon Freewheelers, the county’s bloodbike charity who save local lives every single day, a registered charity 1138889. All tickets are considered donations and there are no refunds, full T’s & C’s are available on the website. Tickets on the gate are subject to availability and are £10 per person for the Friday evening, and £20 per person on the Saturday, there are no concessions except for children under 14 who will be free. There is a maximum of 6 tickets per transaction and there must be a minimum of 1 Adult to 2 Children under the age of 14. Although the festival has an excellent safety record and strives to protect all visitors, parents are responsible for their children and should accompany them at all times.

There is a provision for youth groups, sports associations, military organisations, charities, disabled organisations and block bookings for ratios outside of those mentioned above via our telephone booking line only. There is a taxi rank available on site operated by our approved taxi company and a festival bus running a shuttle service from Honiton High Street to the festival site throughout the festival. There is also a cycle park provided. There is very limited parking and we recommend using public transport to the town of Honiton and catching the festival bus outside ‘Lace Walk’ on the High Street. The shuttle bus costs £1 per person each way.

In order to comply with our premises license we are required to notify you of the site rules, these are listed below. The requirements are to ensure the safety of everyone coming to the event.  Please check the website before you travel, if there is any risk of cancellation a notice will be placed on the website no later than Apr 30th 2015.

Tickets are available from the entrance gate at the same price as online tickets.

Age restrictions

Anyone entering the festival that is 17 years of age or younger will require an adult aged 25 years or older with them. If you are 18 and over and intending on coming on your own please ensure you bring ID as we do have the right to refuse access if we believe you are younger. People will be asked for ID when buying alcohol if they look 21 years old or younger so please ensure you carry your ID with you.

Bar staff have the right to refuse service to those that do not have valid photo ID.  Acceptable identification is the DVLA Driving License, a Passport or any approved ‘Verify’ card scheme.  This process must be supported by your festival armband which will be given to you when booking into the site.  No armband – No service.

Alcohol can only be consumed by patrons over the age of 18. Anyone under the age of 18 found with alcohol will have it removed from them by our personnel and poured away.
