August 11th & 12th 2017 sees the return of Honiton’s Sausage & Cider Festival at the Honiton Agricultural Showgrounds.

Friday 11th of August, the gates open to the campers at midday when they can enter the campsite and get themselves settled for the weekend.  80’s pop sensation and internationally acclaimed artist Hazel Dean has agreed to come along on the Friday evening and will sing live to the crowd.  The evening entertainment commences at 6pm with a ‘Before the Naughties’ disco, when Hazel will appear live on stage singing hits such as ‘Searchin’, ‘who’s leaving who’ and others.

Saturday 12th of August is bumper to bumper with entertainment and of course the exclusive Devon visit from the megastars Diversity. Ashley Banjo and the troop will performing live on stage with a massive line up including internationally acclaimed The PeteBox. Pete has appeared all over the world, has over 30 Million views on YouTube and has recently performed at Glastonbury Festival. This is his first visit to Honiton and we are certain he will be a massive hit with the crowd. Also appearing is Vivid Vague, Blimey O’Riley, Phish Taco, Go 80’s Tribute band, Lydia Capon with her new band, Alice Gullick, and the truly sensational sounds of FILTA!  Full details of all these acts can be found on our Line Up page with links to further resources for your information.

Food and drink – as in previous years we have some of the best cider producers around, caterers who provide for all tastes from all over the world, and especially for those who enjoy the Proseccos and Champagnes, a new ‘Bubbles Bar’ has been added to the list! There will also be our usual Beer Tent with all the usual beers, real ales and spirits, our guest brewery is The Branscombe Vale Brewery and we’re really excited to be bringing new flavours to the 36m Bar Tent! We operate a ‘Challenge 25’ Policy and all visitors are advised to carry approved photographic ID such as a driving licence for example.

Family entertainment includes favourites like the Punch and Judy Show, George Blake Magic Show, bouncy castles, face painting, dance routines from gymnastic superstars from the Honiton Gymnastics Club, the Devon Freewheelers are there with their blood bikes (our chosen charity), Aerosaurus Hot Air Balloons (subject to weather and availability) and so much more. The whole event really does have something for everyone.

Camping is also available at £20 per pitch (Max of 6 persons to a pitch, pitch sizes 5m x 5m – large tents will be charged extra if they go over the pitch sizes) for the whole weekend! Small camper vans and motor homes are welcome however entry is entirely at own risk. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate Caravans. The site is ‘rough camping’ only and facilities are limited. All campers must be off site no later than 10am on Sunday 13th August 2017, and must take all their rubbish and belongings (that includes your tent!) with you. No open fires, fireworks, balloons, noise, drugs or weapons allowed on site – please read full T’s & C’s on the website. We reserve the right to remove any visitor & their entire party at any time and there will be no refunds. We are a family event, and we operate a zero tolerance to disruption to other visitors.

Tickets purchased in advance get the Friday evening free! Advance tickets cost £15 per Adult, 14yrs – 18yrs old (Juniors) £7.50 and Under 14’s are free. The event is a charity fundraiser for Devon Freewheelers, the county’s bloodbike charity who save local lives every single day, a registered charity 1138889. All tickets are considered donations and there are no refunds, please read the Terms and Conditions at checkout. Tickets on the gate are subject to availability and are £10 per person for the Friday evening, and £20 per person on the Saturday, there are no concessions except for children under 14 who will be free. There is a maximum of 6 tickets per transaction and there must be a minimum of 1 Adult to 2 Children under the age of 14. Although the festival has an excellent safety record and strives to protect all visitors, parents are responsible for their children and should accompany them at all times.

There is a provision for youth groups, sports associations, military organisations, charities, disabled organisations and block bookings for ratios outside of those mentioned above via our telephone booking line (Tel: 0300 800 8112) only. There is a taxi rank available on site operated by our approved taxi company and a festival bus running a shuttle service from Honiton High Street to the festival site throughout the festival. There is also a cycle park provided. There is very limited parking and we recommend using public transport to the town of Honiton and catching the festival bus outside ‘Lace Walk’ on the High Street. The shuttle bus costs £1 per person each way.

Age restrictions

We operate a challenge 25 policy.  If you appear younger than 25 please do not be offended if you are asked to prove your age.  We accept official photographic identity documents such as a Passport, Driving Licence or any of the approved Citizen Cards.

Bar staff have the right to refuse service to any person.  Our processes include checking of your wristband.  No wristband – No service.

Alcohol can only be consumed by patrons over the age of 18. Anyone under the age of 18 consuming alcohol will have it confiscated and risk being removed from site. Parents/Guardians are responsible for their children and also risk being removed.
